Digital Sketchbook

I am looking to try and get a digital sketchbook.

I have narrowed it down to two options.  I am looking to see if any of my fellow artists can give me some feedback and their opinion on what I might get.  I know that Wacom came out with the Cintiq Companion this week, but for various reasons it is not the tablet that I am looking for.

Option 1: Microsoft Surface Pro - This one is the closest competitor to the Cintiq Companion.  It would run a full version of Windows and allow me to put Photoshop on as well.  I would probably need to get a better stylus, but Wacom make one that would do the trick called the Bamboo Stylus Feel.  I would also have access to the Touch Case keyboard.

Option 2: Apple iPad - This would give me access to quite a few more apps than the Surface Pro as well as allow me to access the internet through a cell connection as I do go often into areas that do not have reliable or any WiFi signals and I have to rely on the cell network.  The downside would be the styli that I can use.  I have researched and there are only two that would give me what I am looking for.  Wacom's Intos Creative Stylus, it has pressure sensitivity but the tip that I would use to draw is quite large, almost as if it were a marker.  I do not know how well something like that would be to draw with.  The Adonit Jot Touch 4 is another contender.  It has a better tip to draw with, but I have never used it.

So there you have it.  These are two options that I have and I would like your input.
